The inaugural Future of the Field Women's Flag Football QB Camp exceeded expectations as 49 talented young women gathered at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas for two unforgettable days of learning, leadership, and inspiration.
With 24 quarterbacks and 25 receivers representing the future of the sport, athletes sharpened their skills through elite instruction in throwing mechanics, footwork, timing routes, accuracy, route running, and receiving fundamentals. They learned directly from NFL quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, professional quarterback Michael Hiers, QB Summit coach Chloe Sharabba, NFL receiver Jalen Nailor, and coaches Tylon Lindsey and Jimmy Telles and current collegiate women flag football student-athletes; Devina Lytle, Maddee Price, Jocelyn Lopez, and Jay Rosales.
But the weekend wasn't just about football.
Athletes participated in leadership conversations, team-building activities, and decision-making workshops designed to strengthen confidence, communication, and character. Parents became part of the experience as well, engaging in an inspiring Q&A session with Dr. Melva Thompson-Robinson, whose wisdom and perspective reinforced the vital role families play in developing successful student-athletes.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our partners, every participant left with more than $500 worth of premium gear and recovery products from Battle Sports, BODYARMOR, FriendsOverFans, Gridiron Grips, Incrediwear, Performance Hydration, and NOBULL—a tangible reminder that people and organizations believe in their future.
Most importantly, every athlete departed with something far more valuable than equipment: new knowledge, greater confidence, lasting friendships, meaningful mentorship, and the belief that women's flag football continues to create new opportunities at every level.

Future of the Field: A Weekend That Delivered More Than Football
At the invitation of Darrell Booker from Microsoft, the DTR Foundation was able to attend the CONMEBOL Copa America USA 2024 soccer match between Brazil and Paraguay. Attending were players and coaches from W7FL, a women’s flag football league in Las Vegas, as well as the head coach of the Spring Valley High School girls’ flag football team, both of whom Dorian Thompson-Robinson has supported over the years. The match allowed all in attendance to see an Olympic sport on an international scale in their hometown as countdown for the Olympics in Paris is underway, with eyes focused on flag football in Los Angeles 2028.

United Natives hosted our first free football camp for Indigenous youth. We featured University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) football players. Our players featured quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, wide receiver Jake Bobo, running back Zach Charbonnet, and wide receiver Titus Mokiao-Atimalala. Each player coached and mentored Native youth during our camp and participated in a panel discussion with our United Natives youth council members. Indigenous youth within the grade of 6th-12th attended the camp hosted by Mesa Community College.
